Susan Springer Anderson's body of work focuses on seeking wholeness through exploring and exposing the different layers of the human experience with the assemblage and juxtaposition of a variety of repurposed materials. Susan's pieces delve into themes of healing, memory and loss, distance and gender roles.


Her work has shown in juried gallery shows, solo features and in non-traditional spaces in Pasadena, New York, New Jersey, Chicago, Indiana, North Carolina and Washington  D.C. She is a graduate of Anderson University in Indiana with a B.A. in Graphic Design and a working emphasis in sculpture. She studied design abroad at James Cook University in Townsville, Australia. In 2010 she was a Queens Community Art Fund grant recipient for her project "Art: From the Garden to the Walls." She also received a Puffin Grant in 2017 for "Ashes & Stains." She is the Artist in Residence at St. Matthew's Episcopal Church, Pacifica Palisades since 2018. She is currently based in Los Angeles, California.
